Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is keen to motivate his players for their Supercoppa Italiana final with Inter, offering rewards for victory.

The Partenopei have been in freefall over the last six months, replacing Scudetto winner Luciano Spalletti with Rudi Garcia, who only lasted a few months in the role before being replaced by short-term custodian Walter Mazzarri.

The chaos on and off the pitch left Napoli eighth in the Serie A table after 20 games, trailing the pack in the race for a Champions League spot. Despite this, they booked their spot in the Supercoppa final after beating Fiorentina 3-0 last week.

As reported by Il Mattino via FcInterNews, De Laurentiis has decided to offer the Napoli squad some financial incentives for winning the Supercoppa Italiana against Inter, promising bonuses to the players.

Victory in the final is worth €8m in prize money, with the runners-up receiving €5m. A Napoli win would also help alleviate some of the pressure on De Laurentiis after the last few months.
