Milan are thinking of bringing in Marco Giampaolo as new Coach, and they'd sign Palermo's Franco Vazquez for him.

Joint-CEO Adriano Galliani already had a meeting with Cristian Brocchi to lay down the preparations for the upcoming season, but it's unlikely the current Coach will keep his job.

According to Tuttosport, Galliani examined Giampaolo's work at Empoli, after the suggestion of Arrigo Sacchi, and was positively impressed.

The actual signing of the new Coach will have to wait until the matter of the club's sale to a Chinese conglomerate is resolved, but in the meantime Galliani is studying options to mould a team according to Empoli's system.

The first thing they'll need is a trequartista to slot into the 4-3-1-2, and the primary candidate at the moment is Palermo's Vazquez.
