Usually the tournament had been between Milan and Juventus as a pre-season taster.

The date is unexpected, as Inter play Juventus just three days beforehand, while Milan visit Torino on Saturday October 17.

This will be the third Milan Derby of the season, as they also met in China for the International Champions Cup (1-0 with a Philippe Mexes stunning volley) in Serie A (1-0 to Inter thanks to Fredy Guarin).

There was also a half-match lasting 45 minutes in the Trofeo TIM tournament in August, which saw the Rossoneri win 2-1 with Andrea Bertolacci, Carlos Bacca and Marcelo Brozovic on target.
