Milan have reportedly turned their attention to the signing of Italy Under-21 international Alessio Romagnoli.

The 20-year-old impressed on loan at Sampdoria last season and is believed to fit Sinisa Mihajlovic’s desired mould of a strong, young and left-footed defender.

The Coach worked with Romagnoli at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris last season and La Gazzetta dello Sport believe there is a rift between the player and the Giallorossi following a discussion.

The Coach worked with Romagnoli at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris last season and La Gazzetta dello Sport believe there is a rift between the player and the Giallorossi following a discussion.

However, the newspaper believes Roma’s asking price is set at €30m but that the Rossoneri could avoid paying this by offering players in exchange, with Stephan El Sharaawy being suggested.

Other defensive options for Milan include Athletic Bilbao’s Laporte, Espanyol’s Hector Moreno and Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels.

Tuttosport reported today that Hummels is a favourite of Rossoneri President Silvio Berlusconi and is valued at around €25m.
