Milan could throw ex-Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko in from the start on Sunday against Genoa.

The Serie A season kicks off this weekend and the Rossoneri host Genoa at San Siro on Sunday evening.

With Hakan Calhanoglu suspended, it’s reported Milan could move Jack Bonaventura into a more advanced role on the left side of the trident attack.

He’d be flanking Gonzalo Higuain and Suso, leaving a gap in midfield.

This would be filled by Bakayoko, stepping in alongside Franck Kessie and Lucas Biglia.

It’d be a gift for the France international, who turns 24 the day before this game.

He arrived from Chelsea on a €5m loan with €35m option to buy at the end of the season.

Mateo Musacchio is tipped to play at centre-back rather than former Juventus and Atalanta defender Mattia Caldara.

Milan (probable): G Donnarumma; Calabria, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Rodriguez; Kessie, Biglia, Bakayoko; Suso, Higuain, Bonaventura
