Charles De Ketelaere underlined his desire to impress at Milan and the strengths of Empoli ahead of this evening’s clash.

The Rossoneri are hungry for all three points in Tuscany this evening as they work to keep up the pressure on the teams at the top of the table, with Napoli’s commanding victory over Torino today showing their qualities in the early stages of a title race. Milan’s frustrating loss to the Partenopei ahead of the International break means they cannot afford to slip up against provincial sides.

Speaking to MilanTV, De Ketelaere first discussed how the Rossoneri are feeling heading into tonight’s game against Empoli.

“We are focused on this match, we want to react after the defeat to Napoli.”

The 21-year-old Belgian talent commented on the qualities of tonight’s opponents in Tuscany.

“They play with two strikers in a very vertical way. They play a very physical game, but we have prepared for it.”

De Ketelaere spoke about how he feels two months after joining Milan.

“I’m happy to be here, now I just think about the game and doing the best I can. I want to improve and I can’t wait to show my qualities.”

The Milan talent commented on what Stefano Pioli asks of his squad when speaking to DAZN.

“We’re a dynamic team, the coach asks me to be aggressive when I don’t have the ball, to go vertical and to play close to the attacker.”

The 21-year-old De Ketelaere has had a slightly slow start to life in the Lombardy capital after arriving in the summer, providing one assist in his opening seven Serie A matches.
