According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan players will soon meet director Ivan Gazidis to discuss how much money they would get if they win the Serie A title.

Milan are the table leader with a two-point lead over Inter and Napoli. The Nerazzurri have a game in hand, so they are potentially on top of the ranking. However, Milan players see the Scudetto as a credible target this season and, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, they will soon meet Gazidis to discuss how much money they would get if they win the Scudetto.

Davide Calabria was asked by Sky Sport Italia a few weeks ago whether he’d be part of the group that would meet Gazidis: ‘We’ll be the same as always,” he said.

“Ibra, [Alessio] Romagnoli and I. Who knows, perhaps we could hold that meeting soon.”

According to the report, the summit could take place after the away clash at Napoli, scheduled for March 6 at the Stadio Maradona.

Milan haven’t won the Serie A title in more than ten years. Their last Tricolore dates back to 2010-11 with Massimiliano Allegri in charge.

  1. What the freaking hell is this? They draw with Salernitana and they’re thinking about how much money they would get if they win the Scudetto? That’s where their head at?!!!

This makes me sick. We had a tiny chance as it was but now I’m sure these guys won’t win it, not with that mindset.

Do it for the glory not the money. You are all already millionaires despite winning basically ZERO trophies.

  2. Sure, make sure that there is a signed agreement in place, but unless discussing it now is in respect of the time for the agreement to be legally processed, let’s get closer to looking like winning it first…

  3. Give them a huge carrot, I want to see blood in their eyes for the remaining of the season.

Also, don’t feed the trolls. ignore them

  4. Whatever about the bonus discussion it shows who the 3 leaders are in the team and we could lose 2 of them in the summer. Better try win it this season then.

  5. Even when Milan were 7 points ahead they didn’t look like they would finish top at end of last year now when they’re technically not even top with more tough matches and proving they can’t win against relegation sides what makes them think they’ll finish top at the end of the season. On the other hand inter will have a run of easy matches

  6. Counting chickens before they hatch is a terrible idea, no matter what team and in what position…. Gotta win it first.

  7. Media making something out of nothing, I’m sure these discussions happen with all teams trying for the title, to single out Milan is just clickbait.
