A decision over Milan’s proposed new stadium has once again been delayed by Fondazione Fiera.

The Rossoneri are competing for the right to build a new ground in the Portello area of the city, and a decision had been expected today.

However, various outlets, including Sky and Gazzetta dello Sport, are now reporting that the Diavolo’s proposal and that of Vitali, an investment group, are considered to be of equal merit.

The decision has therefore been delayed while Fondazione Fiera, who own the land, take more time to consider which bid to favour.

Milan are proposing to build a 48,000-seater arena, at a cost of up to €300m.
