Thiago Silva is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season, alerting Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton and former club Milan.
L’Equipe reports PSG sporting director called Silva earlier today to inform him that his contract, which expires on June 30, would not be renewed.
The newspaper explains how the 35-year-old was not prepared to take a pay cut in order to stay at Parc des Princes.
That leaves Milan with a free shot at bringing back the defender, who played for the Rossoneri between 2009 and 2012.

He helped them win a Scudetto in 2010-11 but left with Zlatan Ibrahimovic to sign for the French giants a year later.
However, L’Equipe warns Everton are also interested in picking up the soon-to-be free agent.
Although he turns 36 in September, Silva is described as feeling that he can continue competing at the highest level until he is 40.
For now, he is expected to stay with PSG for the remainder of 2019-20, with his side due to restart their Champions League campaign in August.
