Adel Taarabt’s agent met with Milan today and could attempt to renew his loan from QPR, but links to Inter are “unfounded.”

The Moroccan international has been impressive since joining the Rossoneri on loan in January and his buy-out clause is set at €7m.

Agent Kia Joorabchian met with CEO Adriano Galliani today and, according to Sky Sport Italia, Milan are requesting a discount to €5m or even less.

Vincenzo Morabito, the FIFA agent who helped broker the Taarabt move in January, also spoke to Calciomercato.it and laughed off reports Inter will try to intercept the talks.

“Inter? I’ve heard nothing about that and I think these rumours were spread to put pressure on Milan. There is already a buy-out clause set, but a lot will depend on where QPR play next season.

“If they fail in the Championship promotion play-offs, then Milan could try to renew the loan for another year rather than activate the buy-out clause.

“The player’s intentions are clear, which is why the rumours about Inter seem to me unfounded.”
