Milan will reportedly resume training on Thursday, as players and staff are currently going through the medical visits at La Maddonina.

Sky Sport 24 reports that the visits began at 8:30am and Milan will last until Thursday, as groups of seven to eight players go through the daily medical tests at the Maddonina clinic.

Coach Stefano Pioli and his staff will also be subject to testing, but the report claims the most thorough tests are those of the players. The stress test, electrocardiogram and blood samples will be taken before they are cleared to train.

On Thursday, the players who have been through the tests can resume the training sessions at Milanello, where the Diavolo stars will be divided on the three pitches available and initially work on cardio and strength, before introducing the ball.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Franck Kessie haven’t returned to Italy yet, but reports this morning claimed the Swede had agreed to come back despite the lack of a set date for the resumption of Serie A.

The two will have to be in self-isolation for two weeks, required by the decree and is expected to return swiftly.

The players who have already carried out the checks at La Madonnina are Jack Bonaventura, Lucas Biglia and Leo Duarte, but others are expected to be cleared during the day.
