The Stadio Meazza will be sold out for MilanAtalanta on Sunday, but according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri received over 200,000 requests to attend the game.

Stefano Pioli’s men play their last home match of the season against Atalanta and according to Gazzetta, over 200,000 fans wanted to watch the game at the Stadio Meazza this weekend. Of course, the club couldn’t meet the needs of all their supporters and the stadium will be sold out, with almost 75,000 fans expected at San Siro.

Club CEO Ivan Gazidis said yesterday that more than 1,000,000 fans watched Milan games at the stadium this season.

The Rossoneri are the Serie A leaders with a two-point lead over second-placed Inter and just two games remaining. Thanks to their better head-to-head record, they can become Serie A champions for the first time in 11 years if they collect four points in the final two games of the campaign. Milan will play the last match of the season away at Sassuolo.
