Multiple sources in Italy claim Milan are ‘strongly’ interested in Torino and Italy defender Alessandro Buongiorno and according to Sky Sport Italia, the Rossoneri are ready to submit an offer to sign the 24-year-old in the January window.

Sky Sport Italia reports Milan are ready to send an opening offer to sign Torino centre-back Buongiorno this month

The Rossoneri have already welcomed Matteo Gabbia back from a loan spell at Villarreal but want to add a new defender to Stefano Pioli’s squad for the second part of the campaign.

According to the report, Torino value their captain at €40m, but the Rossoneri are ready to submit a lower offer, which includes a permanent transfer for their striker Lorenzo Colombo, currently on loan at Monza.

Torino President Urbano Cairo has recently confirmed that Milan “have the money” to sign Buongiorno, but the Granata don’t want to sell their captain this month.

Sky Sport Italia claims Buongiorno’s will is going to be crucial. The Italy international, a product of Torino academy, rejected a move to Atalanta last summer out of love for the Granata.

However, Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo claims Buongiorno would be open to joining the Rossoneri this month and has already given his green light to move to the Stadio Meazza.
