Milan are reportedly pushing for Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj.

It was confirmed yesterday that a preliminary agreement has been reached to sell the club to Yonghong Li, with a deposit of €100m due within 35 days.

That has finally allowed the Rossoneri to start making manoeuvres on the transfer market, and Calciomercato.com reports that Badelj is a concrete target.

Coach Vincenzo Montella worked with the Croatian international during his time at Fiorentina, so he would fit into his plans.

It’s thought Badelj is keen on a move to San Siro, having already rejected Borussia Monchengladbach and Everton.

The Diavolo’s joint-CEO Adriano Galliani is expected to meet with the player’s agent in Ibiza next week in order to negotiate terms in principle.

It’s thought the Viola are open to Badelj’s departure, but only on a permanent basis as he has two years left on his contract.

It’s thought the 27-year-old will cost somewhere between €12m and €15m.
