Milan are preparing to pounce for Olympique Lyonnais winger Memphis Depay at a cut-price deal of €20m, claims Tuttomercatoweb.

According to the Italian report, the offer is worth €20m plus a percentage of any future transfer fee.

The 26-year-old Dutch international is currently out of action after a torn anterior cruciate ligament, but should be ready to start next season.

His contract with Lyon expires in June 2021 and a renewal is unlikely, especially as the early termination of Ligue 1 means the club won’t qualify for Europe.

It would be a bargain for Milan, as Depay’s asking price was €50m not so long ago.

He came up through the PSV Eindhoven academy, moved to Manchester United in 2015 and was sold to Lyon in January 2017.

Depay was having a sensational campaign before his injury, scoring 14 goals in 18 competitive games, including five in five Champions League appearances.
