Serie A clubs have been returning to training this week, but first undergoing swab and blood tests on all players and members of staff who will attend the training ground.

A statement from Lecce this evening states all the tests came up negative.

“There are those within the group who are afraid, who wouldn’t want to play, and others who are desperate to get back out there,” Mancosu told Rai Sport.

“At the end of the day, we have to take a calculated risk. I hope the Government and medics can agree on restarting the season, otherwise it’ll be a summer of appeals and counter-appeals, which will not be good for anyone.

“There has to be a meritocracy in football, otherwise there is no justice. We’re going to have to start living with this virus.”
