Milan praise their goalkeeper Mike Maignan on social media by showing a save to deny Arthur Cabral on Sunday: ‘Need to invent a new word for him…’

The France international hasn’t made Gigio Donnarumma’s absence felt this season, keeping 17 clean sheets in 36 appearances across all competitions and conceding only 31 goals in the process.

He has produced many decisive saves during the current campaign, the last one on Sunday against Fiorentina.

The 26-year-old denied the Tuscans’ striker Arthur Cabral with cat-like reflexes, receiving praise from fans at the stadium and from Milan after the game.

The Rossoneri showed the goalkeeper’s save on their official Instagram account, writing: ‘Need to invent a new word for Maignan…’

Which one would you use and has Maignan been the best goalkeeper in Serie A this season? Discuss in the comments section below.

  1. I think Milan should sign that guy Cabral” he’s a complete striker, have watched his highlights when he was at Basel, remember Salah”

  2. It’s a great save but I agree it’s pretty close to him – he’s probably made better saves this season. I do think he’s been the best keeper in the league, but yes I am a Milan fan…

  3. Great save or not, Maignan has played an integral role for Milan all season with a long list of saves to earn Milan wins over losses/ties. Brilliant acquisition.

  4. Without question , ” deal of the century ” . Ironically we really have Mino to thank for making us go to the market for a keeper. I do think Gigio will be one of the best in the world in the long run , but Maignan is the BEST choice benefiting Milan‘s play as a group!
