According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are determined to keep hold of Lautaro Martinez despite interest from Arsenal and Manchester United and would rather sell some of their starlets, such as Andrea Pinamonti and Martin Satriano.

The Nerazzurri must balance the books at the end of the season and, similarly to last summer, they may need to sell some of their stars to make capital gains. Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi left San Siro in 2021 for a combined €183m fee, but according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri no longer want to sacrifice their stars.

Lautaro Martinez is among the most wanted players in Europe. Scorer of 21 goals across all competitions this season, El Toro’s agents have recently been in touch with intermediaries of Arsenal, Tottenham, Man United and Atletico Madrid, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

However, the Argentina international has recently extended until 2026 and the Nerazzurri are unwilling to sell despite their financial struggles.

According to the report, they’d rather sell some of their emerging talents, such as Pinamonti and Satriano.

The Empoli loanee has scored 12 goals this season and the Nerazzurri value him at €25m. Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly interested in securing his services in the summer. Satriano has scored four goals while on loan at Brest in the Ligue 1 and can leave for €15m.

Basel will make Sebastiano Esposito’s move permanent for €8m and the likes of Lucien Agoume and Samuele Mulattieri are also expected to leave if the Nerazzurri receive suitable offers. It remains to be seen if their sales will be enough to meet Suning’s financial needs, but the Nerazzurri will try to keep hold of their stars, especially Lautaro.

  1. Of course Don Beppe want to sell Il Toro. He’s just wants the right price and this article is an instrument to achieve that. Marotta = MVP. 🙂

  2. I hope this is not true as Lautaro’s inconsistency has probably cost Inter the Scudetto. He is fine if used as a secondary figure, but as a frontline striker he cannot lead the line.

Pinamonti and Esposito should not be sold.

Get Dybala and bring back Lukaku. Dzeko, Correa and Pinamonti as back ups.

  3. Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi left San Siro in 2021 for a combined €183m fee – they sold them for that much and still have to balance the books? That’s some bad management right there – Inter is broke and won’t be able to keep or add any good players for years to come.

  4. They said they need 70 million in sales and to slash the wage bill. These numbers don’t add up, seemingly an increasing problem at Inter. They should put aside some of the budget for basic numeracy lessons.

  5. I was gonna say the same thing, selling you too stars for 183M and 12 months later , there is still the need to sell to balance the book, then which book are you balancing ? The library? What you need is help and not book balancing.

  6. Inter is a completely dead club and i say that as an Inter fan for 25 years, they need to bank around 100m this transfer window, which means bye bye Lautaro and SDV at least.

With Suning as owners, its not beyond imagination that they sell Barella as well.

Beyond awful coach, having to sell their stars, many grandpa players etc etc, Another 10 year banter period coming for Inter sadly.

Maybe Dzekosaurus has an older brother they can waste money on, awful management.
