The Rossoneri have been rejected for both a voluntary and a settlement agreement, and will be sanctioned for violating FFP.

Punishments could include a fine or squad limitation, but they could also be thrown out of next season’s Europa League.

“We’re optimistic by nature,” Roberto Cappelli, the club’s lawyer, told ANSA.

“We have good arguments and we hope to assert them.

“A new investor? You [the media] talk about that, we didn’t talk about it at the shareholders’ meeting. I can confirm that by June 28 the remaining €32m will come from Yonghong Li to complete the capital increase.”
