Many have reported that Robinho’s sale is necessary before Milan can swoop for CSKA Moscow’s Honda, but Galliani painted a different picture.

“I see Honda as an excellent trequartista. If Robinho were to leave, then we would bring in a support striker instead.

“Urby Emanuelson could remain with us. We’ll have to talk it over with our Coach, otherwise see what offers there are.”

“I had dinner with Poli last night. His move is certain, but not actually official yet. Sampdoria authorised him to have a medical and begin training with us.”
