Barcelona seem to be in pole position to net the former Manchester United player and the representative confirmed their admiration.

"Rossi could go and strengthen Barcelona," he continued. "They have been following him with interest for some time.

"Giuseppe is 24 and he feels ready to play for a big club and Barcelona would be a dream come true for him."

Rossi, also linked with Inter and Juventus, spoke about his future yesterday afternoon with Radio Kiss Kiss.

"At the moment I don't know what my future holds, as the last few days I've been focused exclusively on the Nazionale," he noted.

"Seeing my name associated with a great club like Barcelona obviously has a certain effect on me. At the end of the day we need to see what's real and what isn't.

"Are Barcelona my first choice? We'll wait and see what happens."
