There will be no alcohol or pyrotechnics allowed inside the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium on Sunday as Milan face Atalanta.

The Rossoneri cannot clinch the title with a win in that match but victory coupled with a draw or defeat for Inter against Cagliari in Sunday’s later match would make Stefano Pioli’s side champions.

And for that reason, city mayor Beppe Sala has banned the sale of alcohol and use of any pyrotechnics until 2 a.m. CEST.

Fines for failing to respect the rules could result in fines of up to €5,000.

Milan have a terrible recent record in home matches against Atalanta with no wins in their last seven but know that anything other than a defeat will at least allow them to go into the final match of the season with the title destiny in their own hands.

The Rossoneri have not win the Scudetto since the 2010-11 season and are unbeaten in their last 14 Serie A matches.

Inter had the advantage but suffered a shock loss away to Bologna at the end of last month in their game in hand.

  1. Shock loss for inter could be a natural loss for milan in the hands of atalanta. But if Milan win on the upcoming 2 matches, then they deserve campioni

    Cheers from Interisti
