Sky Sport Italia reports Christian Pulisic will start on the bench against Newcastle tomorrow, while Tommaso Pobega will replace Tijjani Reijnders in central midfield, but San Siro won’t be sold out.

The Rossoneri trained at Milanello this morning, seeing their ex-teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic return to the training ground. Newcastle’s Eddie Howe and Sandro Tonali will speak at a press conference later today.

Sky Sport’s correspondent Gianluca Di Marzio brought the latest updates on the Milan front on Monday afternoon.

He claimed that coach Stefano Pioli seems willing to rest Pulisic and start Samuel Chukwueze on the right wing. Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud will join with the Nigerian winger in a front-three.

Pobega is also expected to start in central midfield with Rade Krunic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Fikayo Tomori will return to the starting XI after serving a one-match ban in the Derby della Madonnina on Saturday.

He will get the nod in a four-man defence with Theo Hernandez, Malick Thiaw and Davide Calabria.

Di Marzio also explained that the Stadio Meazza won’t be sold out with 65,000 tickets sold and less than 10,000 still available. The game will be played at 17:45 BST, when many people in Milan will still be working, so the club have not yet sold all tickets.
