Milan are interested in loaning Hakim Ziyech, but they reportedly need Chelsea to pay part of the player’s salary.

The Morocco international is not part of the Blues’ plans for 2022-23 and according to multiple reports in Italy, the former Ajax man has become one of the Rossoneri’s main targets for the summer.

Chelsea officially put the 29-year-old on the market earlier this week and the imminent arrival of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City will see his playing time at Stamford Bridge further reduced next season.

The Premier League side are open to loaning Ziyech out and Milan are happy to get the player on a temporary deal with an option to buy.

However, the two parties have yet to agree on the player’s transfer fee, while Ziyech must reach an economic agreement with the Serie A champions.

The former Ajax star is open to joining the Rossoneri who, however, can’t match his salary in London. Ziyech gets more than €6m at Stamford Bridge, but according to Tuttosport, Milan can’t offer more than €4-4.5m per season.

Talks between the three parties are ongoing with the Rossoneri also aiming to sign Charles De Katelaere on a permanent transfer from Club Brugge.
