Milan will reportedly attempt to sell a number of players in order to fund a January bid for Sevilla’s Ever Banega.

The Argentine playmaker has also been linked with Juventus, but Gazzetta dello Sport writes today that vice-President Adriano Galliani’s good relationship with the Spanish club could give the Rossoneri an advantage.

However, the newspaper believes that sales will determine Milan’s January movements, as they look to raise around €20m.

The likes of Diego Lopez, Nigel De Jong, Rodrigo Ely, Cristian Zapata, Antonio Nocerino and Jose Mauri are all on the market, according to the outlet.

Gazzetta believe that if Lopez departs a new goalkeeper would be needed, but only as backup to Gianluigi Donnarumma and therefore not requiring a large salary.

The paper also points out that a new central defender could be required if Zapata or Ely leave, but believes that Banega remains their top target.

The 27-year-old’s contract is due to expire in June and he has scored three league goals in 11 appearances for the Andalucian side this season.
