Milan remain in negotiation to sign Florian Thauvin as a free agent in the summer, with the Rossoneri set to put a €4m-a-year deal on the table.

According to MilanNews, Milan have made a new transfer approach to sign the French winger as a free agent at the end of the season.

The Rossoneri are aware Thauvin won’t sign a contract extension with Marseille and are determined to secure his services to fix a “weak spot” on the right flank.

However, Thauvin must lay down his salary demands if he wants a move to the San Siro.

The Serie A giants are reportedly ready to offer him a €4m-a-year deal for five years, but the 28-year-old expects a higher proposal.

Milan also need to deal with the high economic demands of the France international’s agents and talks between the two parties are ongoing.
