Milan have confirmed that club official Ariedo Braida is in Brazil – but don’t expect him to come back with a January signing.

Super agent Mino Raiola, who has worked closely with Milan over the last few years, yesterday revealed that he was in South America with Braida.

He added that he was working on signing a non-EU player for the Italian champions once the winter window opened.

However, Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has acted quickly to cool the transfer speculation.

“I know that Braida is in Brazil, but I only found out about Raiola being with him after reading the newspapers,” he claimed.

“Braida isn’t in Brazil to sign players though, he’s just keeping himself informed by watching players to understand if they could be of use.

“Who does he like? Everyone and nobody…

“I don’t want to talk about the transfer market right now. I don’t want to talk about Didier Drogba, Marco Borriello or Carlos Tevez.”

The Rossoneri have been linked with all three players over the last few weeks.

Meanwhile, Galliani was asked when Gennaro Gattuso could return to action given his eye injury progress.

“I’m happy and I hope he can be playing again in January,” he concluded.
