Milan will look to Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic if they cannot agree a deal with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, it's reported, while Manchester United drop their interest.

The Rossoneri have been constantly linked with the legendary Swede in recent months, as his contract with LA Galaxy expires at the end of December.

Tuttosport suggest that Ibra is demanding more money than Milan are willing to offer, and this could lead them to look towards the Croatian.

Mandzukic has been sitting idle for the last three months, and hasn’t kicked a ball for the Bianconeri this season, as he was also left off of the club’s Champions League squad list.

The Turin daily report that Juve are asking for €12m, but this could be reduced in order to get him off the wage bill.

He was in talks over a move to Qatar, but they collapsed in September.

It now seems that Manchester United’s long-standing interest in him has also cooled, with The Athletic reporting that due to his inactivity, Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer wants a player who will hit the ground running, and not have to adjust to the pace of a 90-minute match.

Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested in Mandzukic, who previously played in the Bundesliga for Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich.

Mandzukic joined Juventus in 2015 from Atletico Madrid, and he’s scored 44 goals in 162 games.
