Milan and Monaco directors will reportedly have a conference call today to discuss Pietro Pellegri’s permanent move to San Siro.

The 20-year-old joined the Rossoneri on an initial loan deal in the summer but has been struggling with injuries managing just six Serie A appearances this term.

He sustained an injury in the only match that he started this season, against Salernitana, on December 4 and has yet to return to action since.

However, according to Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri are convinced by his potential and are determined to make his move permanent in January.

For this reason, they will talk to Monaco directors today. Milan have an option to make the player’s move permanent for €6m plus €1m add-ons, but Paolo Maldini will try to get the player for a lower fee.

If Milan sign Pellegri permanently, the striker will be loaned out to Torino until the end of the season.

The two clubs have been in talks for a few weeks and have reached a principle of agreement over the 20-year-old’s temporary transfer to Turin.
