Bologna’s CEO confirms Milan will get 20 per cent of any transfer fee for Simone Verdi this summer.

The Italian international was close to joining Napoli in January, but ultimately decided to stay with the Rossoblu.

It’s expected he’ll leave at the end of the current campaign though, and it’s possible he could still join the Partenopei.

“[Sporting director Riccardo] Bigon and [club manager Marco] Di Vaio decide on transfers,” Claudio Fenucci told TV RETE 7.

“[Sporting director Riccardo] Bigon and [club manager Marco] Di Vaio decide on transfers,” Claudio Fenucci told TV RETE 7.

“Then I determine if the investment is compatible with our capabilities. Any possible sale of a big player like Simone Verdi would be used to strengthen in the transfer campaign.

“That excludes the 20 per cent which will be due to Milan in the case that the lad is transferred.”
