The FIGC has warned Milan that it ‘can’t do anything’ about their exclusion from the Europa League.

The Federation’s reaction to Milan’s troubles with UEFA has been muted at best, barring an isolated rallying cry from commissioner Roberto Fabbricini.

“The FIGC not defending Milan? The Federation can’t do anything,” director general Michele Uva told Radio Anch’io Sport.

“If they like, we can help them in a technical sense but not a political one.

“Milan have the opportunity to present their case to CAS, given UEFA didn’t consider their path a virtuous one.

“We haven’t even seen the documents, but the rules are clear: Roma and Inter didn’t comply with them, but UEFA gave them a path each and they’re both following it.

“Milan also knew the rules, which will be even tighter next year.”
