Milan are reportedly the favourites to sign Valencia striker Simone Zaza, who is expected to move on this summer.

According to Levante EMV, Valencia boss Marcelino wants a ‘more dynamic profile’ than Zaza in his squad next season after guiding them to the Champions League group stage.

Although the Italian would have ‘no problem’ staying at Mestalla, the website notes he is keen to address his future quickly.

The 26-year-old has scored 18 League goals in a season-and-a-half with Los Che but has fallen down their pecking order.

As for his next club, Levante EMV reports his ‘ideal destination’ is Italy and specifically Milan, who are in the market for attacking reinforcements.

Furthermore, Rossoneri Coach Gennaro Gattuso would have targeted Zaza as ‘one of the players to rebuild the club’s identity’.

Although there is no mention of an asking price, Valencia may be looking to recoup the €16m they paid Juventus last summer.
