Milan have reportedly abandoned attempts to sign Lucas Torreira from Arsenal, turning to Dennis Praet and Jordan Veretout instead.

According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, the Rossoneri realised the €50m asking price was not going to drop and decided to pass on the Uruguay international.

Instead, they are preparing their first formal offer for Sampdoria midfielder Praet, who has also worked with Milan Coach Marco Giampaolo.
