Inter and Milan are ready to do battle next season for Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to the Corriere della Sera.

They had both already targeted the Serbia international, but were put off by the €130m price-tag.

Now that Manchester United, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have pulled back on their interest, he could make a move within Serie A instead.

Milan had attempted to offer €30m for a loan and another €90m to buy at the end of the season, but it was put forward too late to be worked out with Lazio.

The Corriere della Sera newspaper claims they are prepared to go again next summer, but face strong competition from Inter, who are bolstering their squad under new director Beppe Marotta.

More importantly, Inter are no longer locked down by strict Financial Fair Play parameters and can begin to splash out a little more on the transfer market.
