Soriano would represent another Samp player following Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic to San Siro after spending €25m for Alessio Romagnoli, who was on loan from Roma.

Soriano is only 24 years old, but already has four senior Italy caps and grew up in the Bayern Munich youth academy.

He was born in Germany from Italian parents and moved to Italy for Sampdoria in February 2009.

The two-footed midfielder has also been heavily linked with Napoli.
