Milan are edging closer to a deal for Fiorentina striker Nikola Kalinic, according to Sky Sport Italia, though Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang remains the dream.

The Rossoneri have spent over €210m this summer for 10 new players, but with Carlos Bacca frozen out, their options in attack are very limited.

The ideal candidate remains Aubameyang, but Borussia Dortmund are determined to hold out for a massive transfer fee of over €75m.

Instead, Sky Sport Italia suggest negotiations are progressing with Fiorentina for Kalinic, who has been their most likely target from the start of the summer.

The asking price has dropped from €30m to €25m and the offer currently on the table is €20m, but a series of bonuses or players included in an exchange deal could easily bridge that gap.
