Milan Coach Massimiliano Allegri is confident his side will be able to fight for a place in the Coppa Italia Final despite injuries.

The Rossoneri are 2-1 down in the two-legged semi-final encounter ahead of Tuesday’s return match at Juventus.

“We’ll look to overturn the deficit in order to reach the Final even if we know it will be tough,” Allegri noted on Monday afternoon.

“I’m calm and convinced that we’ll play a good game despite the absences that we will have,” continued the former Cagliari boss.

“Philippe Mexes will be back after suspension, while Clarence Seedorf is fit again. I’ll have to evaluate Kevin Prince Boateng. However, Robinho and Mark Van Bommel won’t be there.

“Boateng will definitely be ready for the Roma game, while we also want Robinho back for that match too even if there is a lot of work to do.”

Milan are also without Alexandre Pato and Antonio Cassano in attack which suggests that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will play – despite the big games coming up against Roma and Barcelona.

“We’ll have to see tomorrow whether he plays or not,” responded Allegri. “I will certainly pick a side that will be good enough to take on Juventus.”

The Italian Cup is thought to be the Diavolo’s least important objective of the season, but Allegri wants to lift every trophy possible.

“The Coppa Italia is a target for us.

“It will be an intense game because both sides will want to progress. It’ll be a competitive match between two teams who are also fighting each other for the title.”

Juventus, who in three games this term have beaten Milan twice and drawn the other, looked impressive on Saturday in the 5-0 win over Fiorentina.

“Antonio Conte’s side are playing well and they proved that they are in good physical shape with the win at Fiorentina. It will be tough tomorrow.

“Our team though is good enough to play in these types of games and in that type of environment.

“Juventus played a lot better than us in the Turin League game. We need to play with our heads and feet.”

Juventus have yet to lose a game so far this season in League or Cup.

Milan possible: Abbiati; Zambrotta, Mexes, Thiago Silva, Antonini; Nocerino, Ambrosini, Muntari; Emanuelson; Ibrahimovic, Maxi Lopez.
