Milan are looking for defensive reinforcements for next season and have reportedly set their sights on Manchester United centre-back Victor Lindelof.

Spanish website Fichajes claims Milan are interested in Manchester United defender and Sweden international Lindelof for next summer.

The 29-year-old future at Old Trafford is uncertain despite his 22 appearances across all competitions this term. The Red Devils have been hit by injuries in 2023-24, especially concerning their central defenders, so this partially explains Lindelof’s regular playing time this season.

Manchester United are also expected to sign a new centre-back for the next campaign, so a new signing in defence would push Lindelof out of Old Trafford.

At the same time, Milan have been looking for defensive reinforcements for a few months. They brought Matteo Gabbia back from a loan spell at Villarreal in the January transfer window but had other targets, including Lilian Brassier, Jakub Kiwior and Clement Lenglet.

According to Fichajes, Milan will be looking at Lindelof’s situation over the next few months before any potential move. Manchester United have recently activated an option to extend the Sweden international’s stay at the club until 2025.
