Milan have joined forces with the New York Yankees for a new collaboration as they look to further expand into the US market.

The Rossoneri were bought for €1.2 billion by Gerry Cardinale and the RedBird group earlier this year and the club have been hard at working raising their profile. A new partnership was announced with Warner Bros Discovery recently, which saw Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson send a message to the Milan fans during the half-time break of their Serie A game against Juventus.

As announced by Milan, NY Yankees merchandise will soon be available to purchase from club stores in Milan and Rossoneri gear is already on sale at the Yankee Stadium, allowing both brands to further gain a foothold in emerging markets.

A study published by YouGov revealed that Milan were the most popular football brand in the USA last season, and Nielsen suggests that the Rossoneri are the most followed Italian club in the country with over 24 million fans.
