Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis says he is ‘very excited for what’s to come’ after the club announced a linkup with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation agency.

The partnership, described by Milan as ‘unique and tangible, driven by innovation, community, integrity and inclusiveness’, is the first of its kind between a sports team and an entertainment company.

“This partnership between AC Milan and Roc Nation represents the coming together of two powerful organisations with strong values at their core,” Gazidis told the club’s official website.

“Our shared commitment to inclusiveness, progressiveness and excellence will drive everything that we do and I am very excited for what’s to come.”

The pair have already worked together as Roc Nation helped the Rossoneri stage the virtual live event ‘From Milan with Love’ earlier on in the coronavirus pandemic, to raise money for those working on the front line.

“Roc Nation is thrilled to embark on this unique partnership with AC Milan,” Michael Yormark, Co-CEO of Roc Nation Unified, added.

“Both brands possess a strong commitment to community, which was evident through the success of ‘From Milan with Love’.

“I am looking forward to building on that success by creating more opportunities together that combine the integrity of the club’s rich history and Roc Nation’s signature ability to create and move culture.”

Roc Nation also operates a sports division, which represents Juventus winger Federico Bernardeschi and Inter striker Romelu Lukaku among others.
