Milan and West Ham United continue to be linked with the same coaches on the transfer market, as after Julen Lopetegui, they are both interested in Paulo Fonseca.

The two clubs are seeking a change of leadership on the bench and seem to have similar ideas about the kind of football they want to play, because the media keep linking them to the same candidates.

It was reported today that Lopetegui had informed West Ham United he would prefer Milan, only for the Rossoneri to then back away following intense pushback from angry fans.

Fight for Fonseca

Now TEAMtalk claim that Fonseca is another option for the Hammers, but he too had already been mentioned around Milan by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sky Sport Italia and others.

Fonseca is currently at French side Lille and will be a free agent when his contract expires on June 30.

The 51-year-old Portuguese tactician already has experience in Serie A with Roma from 2019 to 2021.

In 102 competitive matches for Roma, Fonseca oversaw 53 victories, 21 draws and 28 defeats.

Olympique Marseille are also keeping Fonseca on their radar for the future, with Olympique Lyonnais another alternative.
