Alessio Romagnoli believes Milan “must aim to reach the Champions League” and doesn’t fear Juventus.

The Rossoneri have begun to recover after a poor start to the season, and are currently six points outside of the top three.

“We must aim to reach the Champions League,” Romagnoli told Milan Channel.

“It’s a goal that’s without our reach, it won’t be easy, but that’s our goal. We’ll see where we are in January, and then in May.

“Juventus? They’re a great team, but I don’t fear anyone. All their strikers are good, perhaps the most dangerous are [Paulo] Dybala and [Alvaro] Morata.”

The Italian Under-21 international then discussed his reasons for joining the Diavolo, admitting he felt unwanted at Roma.

“I didn’t feel part of the project at Roma. I was always left on the bench. Then when a team like Milan calls you, you can’t say no.

“Getting to Milan at 20-years-old with my fee [€25m] is a big weight to carry around, but I’m settling-in well and I’m able to do my best.

“You immediately sense the importance of the club and the history of a team which has won everything.

“When you get to a team like Milan, you have to hold on tight to your place.

“I’m getting along very well with everyone, especially the Romans, [Andrea] Bertolacci and [Alessio] Cerci.

“I immediately felt part of the group, having played from the start in the Coppa Italia.”
