Sinisa Mihajlovic is “proud” of his Milan players, but expects a “very difficult” game at Empoli tomorrow.

The Rossoneri are seventh in Serie A, but had an impressive win over fourth-place Fiorentina last Sunday, and the Serbian Coach praised the attitude of his players.

“The lads have always conducted themselves well since I arrived,” Mihajlovic said in his pre-match Press conference.

“I’m very proud of them, it shows the group is together. Without discipline you won’t get anywhere.

“I played for a very strong national team [Yugoslavia], but we didn’t win anything because everyone just did what they wanted.”

Empoli are only a place and a point behind the Diavolo ahead of tomorrow’s game, and the former Fiorentina boss is expecting a difficult return to Tuscany.

“Empoli are the big surprise of the season, in the last 10 games they’ve taken 20 points and won six times, including four away from home.

“They’re a team that always play to win, and play openly, we know this will be a difficult match for us.

“Even though we’re good, we’ll need concentration to win this match, we need the will-to-win, ruthlessness and attitude that we saw against Fiorentina.

“We’re slowly emerging, but tomorrow will be very difficult.”
