According to the Corriere della Sera, fans and players are unhappy about the idea of Mihajlovic taking over because of his past at rivals Lazio.

The Bologna Coach also played for Roma, but that was far earlier in his career (1992-94) and he spent more time in the Biancocelesti jersey (1998-2004).

There was even a banner in the streets of Rome this week insulting Mihajlovic using a racist term, insisting Roma fans were “disgusted” by him.

On the other hand, Il Tempo newspaper claim Mihajlovic is the favourite, supported by director Francesco Totti and incoming sporting director Gianluca Petrachi.
