Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero insists Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic will not leave the club, and provokes Milan in the process.

A variety of teams are reportedly interested in the Serbian tactician, including Napoli and Milan, but the President still takes the matter lightly.

“He's been two days at Empoli now, let's hope it doesn't mean he stays!” he joked, when speaking to Sky Sports. “And the sun is out, too!

“Don't worry [about Napoli]. He could sing 'O Sole Mio' there, but you can relax in the knowledge that Sinisa found the sun here.”

In one of his typically indelicate barbs, Ferrero denied that Mihajlovic could ever move to Milan.

“The metro stinks there. Why mince words?”

Finally, the Blucerchiati head gave his opinion on the controversy surrounding the call-up of the oriundi to the Italian national team, which includes Sampdoria striker Eder.

“I think he deserves the Azzurri colours. We shouldn't be talking about oriundi or non-oriundi. Eder is an Italian citizen, end of story.”
