Milan Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic is “expecting a lot from those who have played less”, particularly Mario Balotelli and Jeremy Menez.

The Rossoneri face Alessandria in the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final tomorrow, holding a 1-0 advantage from the first game.

“We have a chance tomorrow to secure our first objective of the season, going to the final,” Mihajlovic told reporters in his pre-match Press conference.

“Then there’ll be the chance to win. Tomorrow will be a chance for some of my players to prove to me that they can start from the first minute.

“We all care a lot about this competition, I’m expecting great performances from everyone, particularly those who have played less. Now we’re a well-organised team which fights.

“There’s definitely something missing in changing pace during the match, so I’m expecting a lot from those who have played less, particularly Jeremy and Mario, who have been out injured for a long time.

“The two of them will play and I want to see the right answers, they won’t be allowed any drops in intensity.

"They're getting better, they're better than they were seven days ago and they'll be even better 10 days from now.

"They're quality players, but they've been out for a long time with injuries.

"Balotelli? He'd have to put in a good display regardless of whether M'Baye Niang is available. He can be important, but it's what he does on the pitch that speaks in the end.

"He has to demonstrate his ability to play from the first minute, but that applies to everyone else just as much as him.

“We shouldn’t think about them as a Serie C [Lega Pro] team, they’re a good side.

“We have to win to get to the final, which would be the first chance for many of these players to win a trophy, and the same for me [as a Coach].”

Mihajlovic was then asked if his players would find motivation a problem against the third-tier side.

“I don’t think so, given what’s at stake. If the players aren’t aware of that they should change professions.

“These lads are smart, and I know they won’t go out there with the wrong attitude.

“These are classic games where it seems like you have everything to lose, but in reality there’s a Coppa Italia final at stake.”
