Messias reveals that Brazilian striker Ronaldo was his idol and insists that Milan want to win the Scudetto this season.
The Rossoneri are the Serie A leaders but have been eliminated from Europe, finishing bottom of their Champions League group.
“We put in high-level performances and faced strong teams that are accustomed to playing these games,” the former Crotone star told SportMediaset.
“Now, we are the Serie A leaders, so we must believe [in the title]. We will do everything we can, but there are other strong teams. We must focus on one game at a time because the season is still long.
“I am trying to improve and give my best,” he continued. “I still haven’t fulfilled my potential and I hope to reach my peak as soon as possible.”
When asked about who his idol was, Messias replied with no doubts: “It’s always been Ronaldo, the Phenomenon. To me, he was football.”
