José Mourinho sent a message to Zorya on Instagram after their 1-1 draw against Bodo/Glimt, which helped Roma win their Conference League group: ‘Thank you for your honesty, that’s the football we all love.’
The Giallorossi have qualified for the Round of 16 by topping their group.
José Mourinho’s side collected 13 points in six games, one more than Bodo/Glimt, against whom they picked up just one point in two matches.
In October, Roma lost the first leg in Norway 6-1, in one of the most embarrassing defeats in the club’s history.

However, thanks to their 3-2 win against CSKA Moscow and Bodo/Glimt’s 1-1 draw away at Zorya on Thursday, Roma have gained direct access to the Round of 16.
Zorya had already been eliminated from the competition but still managed to hold Bodo/Glimt to a stalemate.
“Thank you for your honesty to try to win the match,” Mourinho wrote on Instagram, commenting on one of the club’s posts about the match.
“Same as CSKA did against us. That’s the football we all love. I wish you the best for the future.”
