Fabio Capello believes Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi skipping the FIFA Football Awards shows “a lack of respect”.

Both players were selected in the FIFPro World XI, while Juventus striker Ronaldo made it to the final three for Player of the Year.

However, neither man attended the awards in London, with rumours that CR7 decided not to attend after hearing that Luka Modrid would win the big prize.

“It’s a lack of respect that they didn’t come,” Capello told Mundo Deportivo.
