“I had lost my passion for football over the last two, three years. I was no longer prepared to work at 100 per cent. We all love football, but there are human relationships behind all of that too.

“I spoke many times to President Gallo and director of sport Taibi, getting positive sensations from them. I felt love and faith here, which is very important for me.

“A lot of people have talked about me without knowing much, then changed their minds after getting to know me properly. I am just a normal guy.”
